At Home Puppy & Kitten Vaccinations
At The Countryside Vet, we provide at-home puppy & kitten vaccinations, which includes:
- 2 x vet vaccination visits
- A full clinical examination and health check
- Flea and worming treatment as required
- Extended appointment to offer you professional advice that will be specifically tailored to the needs of you and your pet (including nutrition, training, neutering, future vaccination requirements, flea and worming requirements, and any other questions you may have).
The benefits of having the vaccinations done at home will reduce stress for your puppy or kitten by staying in their safe home environment, especially so soon after being separated from their mum/ litter mates and whilst still starting to become accustom to their new surroundings. It also reduces the risks of coming into contact with other pets in busy waiting rooms, which can create unnecessary stress at a young age, and can sometimes lead to behavioural problems.
Puppies & Kittens will receive their first vaccination at 8-9 weeks old, and will receive their second vaccination at 12 weeks old. Puppies can then go outside a week after their second vaccination.
